The Website for the Vintage & Amateur Radio Station at Firepower (M0VOG)
Home The Vintage Operating Group is a group of like minded radio amateurs, keen to see vintage military radio continue to be used on air. There are occasional special radio events at Firepower and one such was the very special weekend 24/25 June 2006 when the families of real holders of the VC were "on Parade" with their medals and their experiences. 32 ACTUAL original VC's were presented in showcases, said to be the largest collection ever in one place. In 2008 there was a special day for TA100 on 25th October when a special Radio Station GB100TA operated and continued to do so until 2nd November.. The next planned weekend with a full display of vintage military vehicles is in 14/15 February 2009. See our separate web site of www.firepowerRadioRally.zoomshare.com for details of our next Radio Rally and Sale. Come and visit the museum and leave adequate time to have the “hands on” experience of operating amateur radio under the expert guidance of the operators on duty. Email firepowervintageradio@zoomshare.com to check when our next operating weekend is planned, or to offer to help if you are a licenced amateur.
